We love treating kids and pride ourselves on making a visit to the dentist an enjoyable experience for them.

For their initial visit, we take them for a ride in the chair and introduce

them to the people and instruments involved in their appointment to familiarise them with the surroundings.

We have many children’s movies available for long appointments to take their mind off the treatment. Our dentists are also experienced in administering child level doses of happy gas if necessary.

Implant-supported replacement teeth, look, feel and function like natural teeth and can provide a life-long solution to improving your quality of life.

There are 3 components of a single tooth implant which include:

1. The implant, “the foundation” which is a titanium base which act like the roots of your missing tooth to support the structures above it, which is embedded below the gums

2. The crown of the tooth which is the “building” above the implant which gives you function to chew on just like your normal tooth

3. The abutment which is the “connection” between the crown and implant to create a strong hold between the two components.

Who are they for?

Patients who are missing:

· Single tooth
· Lower denture which aren’t sitting well
· Mutliple teeth in one area which is impairing chewing function/aesthetics

You may benefit from an implant if you have missing teeth in either upper or lower jaw, and can be in replace of a denture or a bridge.

Implants are made of material that are compatible with and can strongly bond to bone tissue. Once they are fixed firmly within the jaw bone, the implant will provide strength to bear the daily forces of chewing and normal function.

With any procedures, every patient needs to be thoroughly examined and treatment discussed with Dr. Nicole to see if you are suitable for dental implants. To see if you are suitable to have implants to replace missing teeth or the denture that keeps falling out, give us a call to book in with Dr. Nicole to have a consultation. At this appointment, she will check the health of your teeth and gums and together with more information, you can make an informed decision to go ahead with implants.
